Jewette Sharp Taylor's Obituary
Jewette Sharp Taylor passed away peacefully at her home in Bush, LA on August 6, 2021. She was born on June 21, 1942 in Bush, LA to the late Lillian Sharp.
Jewette was the beloved wife of the late Atwood Taylor, Sr. for 56 years. She was the loving mother of Lisa Taylor LaRocca (Jerry), Terrie DiMaggio Treadaway (Danny), Phyllis Galloway, Atwood Taylor, Jr., Clark Taylor (Jennifer), Tina Galloway (Keith), Brian Taylor (Stacy), and Brett Taylor (Ashley). Jewette was the proud grandmother of 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Bevie Ardeneaux, Eloise Nelson, Faye Lacroix, and the late Bertha Lee Sharp.
Jewette was a longtime resident of Bush, LA. She loved her family dearly. She loved to travel with her children and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Due to COVID-19, social distancing is encouraged and masks are required to attend services.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Sharp’s Cemetery, House Creek Road, Bush, LA.
