Jewell Dean Buckner Bright, on Wednesday, May 16, 2007.
Beloved wife of the late John L. Bright. Mother of Debbie King and her husband Benny and Sandra B. Dutruch and her husband Donald; grandmother to Shannon B. Jenkins and her husband Greg, George Welch, Ben King, and Slayden King; great grandmother to John Mason Jenkins, Chase Jenkins and Nicole Welch; sister of Ruthie Mae Holmes and Nettie Kimberley.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother, Ruthie Ovada Taylor Buckner; her father, Henry Austin Buckner; sisters, Eva Meadows, Mildred Branham and Betty Horton; brothers, James, N.C., Billy and Marvin Buckner.
Age 80 years, a native of Jefferson County, Alabama and a resident of St. Tammany Parish for the past 41 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Monday, May 21, 2007 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Rev. Kris Chenier will officiate.
Visitation on Monday from 1:00 PM until service time.
Interment to follow services in Barker McManus Cemetery.
