“They that love beyond the world cannot be separated by it. Death cannot kill what never dies.” ~ William Penn
Mrs. Kay, Our hearts are with you, Olivia and the boys. In times like these, the distance really is so much harder. We are only a phone call away if you need us. We love you Mrs. Kay.
My favorite memory of Grandpa Jerry was my first trip to Tylertown. I was only 15 years old. It was my first trip up there and my first time meeting the Rest of Jake's family. I was a nervous wreck. But, I had gotten in the truck to go to town with him and on our way back he pointed over at the cemetery and said "Hey Christy, How many people you think are dead in that cemetery?" Of course me being 15, and gullible as can be, I quickly began to count! I spit out a number! He laughed soooo hard and said "All of them!" I knew from that moment on that I loved that man! He was always so kind to me and always made me feel welcome and loved. I can't even explain how much Jake is going to miss him. We will miss seeing him at the family get-togethers that he always attended too. He has always been the friendly, loving soul that could brighten anyone's day. We love you. -Christy, Jake, Brandon, and Madison Lakes
