So many of my cherished memories are tied to the Heap family. The first public sings I did was in Miss Jerri's den, my first pole vaulting was with Mr. Bob over their backyard fence. Then . . . 50? 60? years later I passed the Heap house and there was Miss Jerri at the top of the stairs. I stopped my car, got out and yelled hello, she turned and said . . . Bruce! Such warmth, so much love. Bless her heart.
Heartbroken to see Ms Jerri has passed. She was always so sweet and kind to me over the years and enjoyed running into her looking for bargains at TJ Max. Love and prayers to all of the Heap gang at this sad time.

My prayers go out to the Heap family, especially Susan, Mike and Kathy. I can’t forget Miss Jerri’s hospitality while sitting in her kitchen as a teenager some fifty years ago. Funny, heartfelt and dispensing wisdom to the unwise. A truly remarkable lady.
I met Ms Heap while she was in STPH . A very large and close family. Their Mother was clearly the “Matriach. My thoughts and prayers are with them all and with Ms Heap who is now with those “who have gone before us” and in Peace with God. My blessing to have been able to pray with her…Chaplain Mike
