Dr. Jeffrey Clay Marston's Obituary
Dr. Jeffrey Clay Marston drifted off peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on February 20, 2023, at the age of 56. He was born in Laconia, New Hampshire to William H. Marston and Brenda (St. Clair) Sherburne.
He is survived by his loving family, including his mom, Brenda (and Andrew) Sherburne of Bow, NH; brother, Christopher (and Marie) Marston of Bow, NH; nieces, Kaley (and Robinson) Vilmont of Nashville, TN and Taylor Marston of Nashville, TN; sister, Summer (and Daniel) Hawkins of Wellesley, MA; nieces Iris and Celia Hawkins of Wellesley, MA; Nancy Marston of Rye, NH and sister, Emily Marston of Sarasota, FL; along with aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, William H. Marston and brother, William “Blake” Marston.
Jeff was a proud native of New Hampshire, spending his formative years in Pembroke and graduating from Manchester West High School in 1985. It was here that he created relationships that have lasted a lifetime. Mark (and Lori) Girardin and Sandrina (and Kevin) Harriman held a special place in Jeff’s heart, along with several other lifelong friends. Throughout his youth Jeff thoroughly enjoyed playing basketball, biking, going to the movies, and spending time with family and friends.
Graduating from Parker College in Dallas, Texas in 1994 is where he began his professional career as a chiropractor. Moving from Dallas to the Louisiana Northshore, he spent most of his highly respected career practicing with Dr. Jim McCue at Performance Chiropractic, where Jeff considered Jim, Angie, and the staff his family. Jeff enjoyed “steak night” with his best friends, movies, and dinner with Georgie, conversations with Kellie Hennings and spending time at the Mandeville Lakefront. While Jeff’s life was largely in Louisiana, he cherished his many trips home to New Hampshire to visit family and friends, especially at Christmas. No matter where he was, his love for food and the company that came with it cannot be understated.
Jeff was loved and respected by all who knew him, and he was a loyal and caring person. His countless friends and family not only looked forward to receiving cards for every birthday and important occasion, but Jeff found incredible joy in selecting the perfect card. He and Chris would speak daily and solve the world’s problems. Throughout Jeff’s life, he formed deep and unbreakable relationships that never wavered. Spending time with Ayden Ladner, who was like a son to Jeff, was a priority. He also had a wonderful gift for caring for seniors and mentoring people personally, professionally, and spiritually. His sense of humor was both inappropriate and wonderful, and his larger-than-life personality would light up any room. As a true friend once said, “Jeff not only talked the talk, but he also walked the walk”. Most of all he truly loved his family and was looking forward to the arrival of his great nephew RJ. Once a friend always a friend with Jeff Marston.
Jeff’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to his wonderful circle of friends, who enriched his life to its fullest. In lieu of flowers, please go see a movie, get an iced coffee, or send a card to someone you love and think of Jeff.
At this time, there are no formal services planned. However, a celebration to commemorate Jeff’s life will be forthcoming.
