Jeannette Mary Dufrene Tauzin's Obituary
Jeannette Mary Dufrene Tauzin, age 76 of Covington, LA passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA. Born, Tuesday, April 11, 1944 in New Orleans, LA to Adles Dufrene and Yvonne Dufrene.
She was a resident of St. Tammany Parish for 30 plus years. She was known to all as Ms. Nettie. She was a beautiful soul who loved her family unconditionally and with her whole heart. She was the greatest Momma, MaaMaa, and friend anyone could ask for. We thank God for giving her to us. God has gained an angel. Rest in Peace until we meet again.
Survived by her Daughter Tonia Ann Delhommer Taylor and her husband Sam E. Taylor, Jr., Granddaughters Samantha Ann Burlett and her husband Brent Burlett, Tabitha Lynn Taylor and her boyfriend Rudy Sanchez, Great Granddaughters Alexis Dunham, Lindley Burlett, Brentley Burlett, Kylynn Burlett, Sister in law Betty Dufrene, and Brother in law Joseph Burke Perron. She was also loved by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her Fiancé Milton Koepp, Father Adles Dufrene, Mother Yvonne Dufrene, Brothers Malcolm Dufrene, Douglas Dufrene, Claude Dufrene, Sisters Ruth Perron, Joy Barras, Sister in laws Tina Dufrene, Marian Dufene, and Brother in law Wayne Barras.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433. Visitation will resume on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St. Jane de Chantal Catholic Church, 72040 Maple St. Abita Springs, LA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow in Barker-McManus Cemetery Covington, LA.
Due to COVID-19, social distancing is encouraged and masks are required to attend services.
