Jeanne L Labasse's Obituary
Jeanne’L Labasse-Hyland “The Blueberry Lady”, born October 5, 1921, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 22, 2010.
Daughter of the late Emile P. Labasse and Edna Schaule Labasse. Preceded in death by her husband L. Harvey Hyland, Sr. Mother of Lawrence H. II, Craig David and Emile Paul Hyland. Also survived by 5 granddaughters; 1 step-granddaughter; 1 grandson; 2 step-grandsons; and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was a 1938 graduate of Holy Angels Academy of New Orleans and attended LSU. She retired as an accountant of Louisiana Department of Public Safety. Former member of Baton Rouge Toastmistress; League of Women Voters; past Ball Captain of Krewe of Iduna; and a member of Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church, Folsom, LA.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church, Hwy 1077, Folsom, LA with visitation on Monday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA and on Tuesday morning at Church from 10:00 AM until service time.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Mausoleum in New Orleans.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Labasse be made to Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church of Folsom, LA.
