Jean Becker Pendergast's Obituary
Jean Becker Pendergast of Bush, LA passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018. Jean was born on July 15, 1943 in New Orleans, LA to Erick Clifton Becker and Lelia Marie Molere Becker.
Jean is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Harold Alloysius Pendergast, Jr.; her children Harold Paul Pendergast (Donna), Michael Wayne Pendergast (Sherry), Kenneth David Pendergast, Sr. (Viki), Bryan Joseph Pendergast (Michelle), LeAnn Juliette Baran (Jeremy); her grandchildren Justin Mishina, Hannah Meador (Jonathan), Meagan Pendergast, Amber Pendergast, Piper Pendergast, Kenneth David Pendergast, Jr., Jacques Pendergast, Liam Pendergast, and Lacie Gomez (Jorge); and her great-grandchildren Anthony, Max, Lane, Anthony and Marlie. She is also survived by her sisters Judith Becker Persigo (the late Paul) and Sharon Becker Couture (the late Doug) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Jean is preceded in death by her son Troy Joseph Pendergast and her parents.
Jean was born and raised in New Orleans, La. She moved to Kenner, La in 1968 where she resided for the next 31 years, and later moved to Bush, La where she has resided for the last 19 years.
She was a loving & devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had a great love for her family, friends, her pets and baking. She was known by many for her strength, perseverance, unconditional love, kindness, and caring. No matter what she was going through, she always had a welcoming smile that made you feel loved. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 6:00 PM with visitation on Monday beginning at 2:00 PM.
