Jean Remy Gadonneix Jr.'s Obituary
Jean Remy Gadonneix, Jr. went to his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 30, 2023. He was born on January 19,1942 in New Orleans, LA to the late Jean Remy Gadonneix, Sr. and Bessie Talley Gadonneix.
Jean was the beloved husband of the late Virginia “Ginger” Rieder Gadonneix for 56 years. He was the loving father of Chris Gadonneix (wife, Cindy), Michael Gadonneix, and Gregg Gadonneix. Jean was the proud grandfather of Eric and David Gadonneix.
Jean cherished the many friends he made on his journey through life. He retired as a technician at the Folgers Coffee Company after 16 years. He was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Knights of Columbus at St Anselm Catholic Church. He was also an active member of AARP Chapter 5408 and the “Ozone Squares” Square Dance Club.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 3:00 PM with visitation from 1:00 PM until Mass time. Interment will take place on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 1:00 PM at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens, 425 Magnolia Dr., Chalmette, LA.
