Jean Gilchrist Brannon's Obituary
Jean Gilchrist Brannon passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at the age of 72.
She is survived by her husband, J. Bruce Brannon; her children, Tammy Dupuy and her husband John, Scott Brannon and fiancée Judy Patrolia, and Paige Gunter; grandchildren: David and Jessie Dupuy, Aaron Angelo, Laurel and Sara Brannon, Shelby and Parker Gunter; four great grandchildren; sister, Ann Whitmire; niece, Jean Leitner; and nephew, Tom Kinard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Young and Thomas Allen Gilchrist.
Mrs. Brannon was a native of Florence, SC, attended Columbia College and was a resident of the northshore for the past 15 years. She was a member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Mandeville, LA where she was active in the Kairos Prison Ministry and the Women of Hope Conference.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial services on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Timothy United Methodist Church, 335 Ashbury Dr., Mandeville, LA 70471 with visitation at church on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 AM until service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be sent to St. Timothy United Methodist Church and designated to the Kairos Prison Ministry or the Women of Hope Conference.
