Janice Long Baumy's Obituary
Janice Long Baumy entered peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, December 20, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on November 17, 1945 in New Orleans, LA to the late Philip Lawrence Long and Beatrice Strickland Long. She was a former resident of Gretna and a longtime resident of Slidell.
Janice was the beloved wife of Eugene Anthony Baumy for 58-plus years. She was the loving mother of Dana Baumy Schoultz (Michael) and David Baumy (Renee). She was the proud grandmother of Mason Philip Schoultz and Natalya Lynn Schoultz. Janice was the sister of Marilyn Long Horn (Jim) and the late Kenneth Long. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to give special thanks to Kim Baumy and Notre Dame Hospice for their loving care.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial Service at The Chapel at First Baptist Church of Covington, 16054 Murphy Rd., Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 12 noon, with visitation from 11:00 AM until service time.
