Janet Theresa Dauterive Solis' Obituary
Janet Theresa Dauterive Solis of Bush, LA, formerly of Chalmette, LA, passed away on December 27, 2020. She was born on January 11, 1946 in New Orleans, LA to the late Leo and June Doris (Bergeron) Dauterive.
Janet is survived by her beloved husband, Gary J. Solis; her children Dawn Solis Smith (Robert), Melanie Solis, and Anne Solis Desroche (Scott) and her grandchildren Ashley Solis, Chad Hebert, Robert L. Koster, Jr., Joshua Solis, Katheryn Smith; and one great-grandchild Macy Solis. She is also survived by her siblings Donald Dauterive, Sr., Susan Dauterive Moore, and Walter Dauterive, as well as nieces, nephews, and many other extended family members who will miss her dearly.
Janet was a blessing to everyone, and our family was fortunate to live in her grace. She was a devout Christian and life-long member of the Catholic Church, who looked forward to receiving the Sacrament of Holy Communion every week. Her beautiful spirit radiated the love of Christ to everyone who knew her. The family finds peace in knowing that the matriarch of their family is now home in the arms of Jesus.
Services will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Solis may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Donations may be made at ¬https://www.stjude.org/.
