Janet Willie Adams' Obituary
Janet Willie Adams, at the age of 70, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026. She was born on June 27, 1955, in Covington, Louisiana to Dave Willie and Bertha Arlene Cortez Willie Dedon.
She is survived by her loving children, Carolyn Reed (Jamie Reine), Arlene Holcombe (Craig Merritt), and Shelton Joseph Adams Jr. (Amber Coyle); her grandchildren, Brian Reed, Christopher Reed, Charles “Trey” Holcombe, Corey Adams, Shelby Adams, Shelton Blake Adams, Kate-Lynn Holcombe, Bridget Holcombe, Chelsey Adams, Callie Adams, and Sarah Videl; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Joseph Willie, Winton Willie, Loyd Mayfield, Lucy Stogner, Joanne Carlisle, and Carolyn Wallace; sisters-in-law, Babes Willie, Brenda Willie, and Gina Mayfield; brothers-in-law, Salvator Caserta, Michael “JJ” Carlisle, Wilton “Peanut” Stogner, Johnny Miller, and Michael “Bubba” Wallace; daughters-in-law, Amber Coyle, Lisa Adams, and Karen Gervas; sons-in-law, Craig Merritt, Michael Reed, and Charles Holcombe Jr.; her lifelong friend, Jeremy Shawn James; a host of nieces and nephews; and wonderful lifetime friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Shelton Joseph Adams Sr.; her parents, Bertha Arlene Cortez Willie Dedon, Dave Willie, and Milton Dedon; her siblings, Eddie Willie and Marlene Miller; grand-daughter, Fantasia Miracle Coyle; sister-in-law, Linda Willie; and son-in-law, Roland “Jamie” Reine AKA “Ricky Bobby😎”.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433, on Thursday, February 26th at 9:00AM. Services and interment will take place following the visitation at 11:00AM at Willie-Lee Cemetery, Willie Cemetery Road, Folsom, LA 70437.
