Jane Mull Welden's Obituary
Jane Mull Welden passed away on Thursday April 25, 2019 at the age of 91. She was born on September 7, 1927 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the only child of her parents Jacob Ernest Mull and Lillie Bell Spaugh. Jane married her husband John B. Welden Jr. in 1947.
Jane and the family came to New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1955 and they lived there until 1974 where they built their dream home in Tchefuncta Club Estates, Covington, Louisiana. Jane worked as secretary at Waguespack Northlake Real Estate for seventeen years. Upon retirement, she enjoyed traveling, sewing, quilting, crafts, and especially playing bridge. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church Covington and was active in many church activities.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter, Nancy L. Welden and is survived by her son, John B. Welden, III, grandson Jeffrey C. Welden and step-grandson Joshua J. Beal.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Wednesday May 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM with visitation on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Covington, 1633 Highway 1085, Covington, LA 70433.
