I have such wonderful memories of Sr. Jane. She and Sr. Judi, and Sr. Shawn helped me get through some really rough patches in my life. I will always have a special place in my heart for all of them. Not sure what I would have done without them! We laughed, cried, and celebrated lots of experiences together!
God Bless, Sr. Jane! I have no doubt that Sr. Judi and Jerry, my husband, are in heaven waiting for you.

I had the wonderful experience of working with Sr Jane at Camp St. Gertrude the summer of 1971. What a great experience that was! She was so good to all the campers and her staff - such a loving and generous person who was always concerned about other people's feelings. Our family will miss Sr. Jane (Lady Jane, as I called her!) tremendously. All the wonderful former students who kept up with her, that we have now met, are a true testament to the tremendous impact she had on so many lives that are not even known to us. Truly a Saint, Sr. Jane will continue to bless us all with unconditional love and grace that we so desperately need.

1969 - the year I met Sister Jane Francis, OSB at St. Paul's in Covington. 1969 - the year Jane's name surfaced again as a "reference" for Sister Judith Elms, OSB. As principal of Notre Dame in Denver, I hired Judi on the basis of Jane's name. As a result, Notre Dame and I were graced with three outstanding Benedictine educators - Jane, Judi, and Shawn. The deaths of Jane and Judi leave a hole in my heart. Two of my three "Sisters" have been promoted to eternal life and peace. I am glad I still have Shawn and hope to take care of her - as much as I can. I wish I could take your pain away, Shawn.
To Jane - "Euge, fidelis et servus prudens." Well done, good and faithful servant!

Jane was an amazing and strong woman. I doubt when she entered the Order of St. Benedict that she ever though she would end up mothering a child through his formative years, but that's exactly what she did for me. When Judi and Shawn were teaching, Jane would pick me up from school, help me with homework, and keep an eye on me while I played outside the "convent", my dad's fond moniker for their little town-home. I wish I had understood then how incredibly lucky I was to have Jane, along with Shawn and Judi, as my "Moms"
Shawn, I miss her terribly, and my family and I are thinking of you and Bogie.

Jane, I always will remember how you stand up late I the camp dorm, chatting with us...laughing and loving. NO ONE CAN REPLACE ALL THOSE MEMORIES SINCE 1958...MARY ANN HEFFERNAN...BAYTOWN, TX
