Jane Nettles Sanchez's Obituary
”Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls.” Jeremiah 6:16
On July 27th 2024, Jane Nettles Sanchez left this world to begin a new heavenly journey. Jane lived her life fiercely. She was constantly learning, teaching, and beautifying her world. She followed a plethora of paths in this life. At various times she was an equestrian, an airplane pilot as well as airline stewardess, an actress, a master gardener, a hospital executive, a genealogist, a Montessori teacher, and a world traveler.
Of all these paths, the pathway closest to her heart was the one she walked with her family: her husband of 58 years, George, her children Bibbet Robison (Bill), Natasha, and Jay. She loved her grandchildren Matt Robison (Sara), Zoe Haddad (Stuart), and Molly Robison, as well as her brand new great-granddaughter Stella Haddad. Her earthly sisters meant the world to her - JoAnn Gallagher and Judi Taylor (Lynn). Jane was also blessed with a large family of in-laws, nieces and nephews that she adored. She now follows the path to her eternal home to join her beloved father Joe Nettles and mother Janie Reed Nettles, and cherished sister Jenna Reed Core.
She was a beautiful and gracious soul. We will remember her for her loving heart, her undying faith, her ardent support, and her zealous love of living and learning. May we never forget her infamous, infectious smile, made even brighter by her favorite red lipstick.
Visitation on August 1st, 2024 at 10:00-12:00 and a funeral mass at 12:00-1:00 will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church at the corner of East 19th and Jefferson Avenue in Covington, followed by interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 West 21st Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourage donations to the American Heart Association.
