Jane Colleen Pittman's Obituary
Jane Colleen Pittman passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the age of 64.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Evelyn Blackwell Pittman and James Coldon “JC” Pittman. Jane is survived by her loving sister Ann Pittman Hatcher, brother David Pittman and wife Marlene, nephews Barrett Pittman, Jay Pittman and wife Shawn, Alex Hatcher, great niece Macy Pittman, great nephew Gage Pittman, and a whole host of other relatives and friends.
Jane was a dedicated St. Tammany Parish Public School teacher for 36 years teaching English and coaching at numerous schools throughout the parish, ending her career at her beloved Lee Road School. She loved teaching and touched many lives as evidenced by the numerous former students who have called, written, and visited her during her illness.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at First Baptist Church of Folsom, 13320 Broadway St., Folsom, LA 70437 on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM with visitation at church on Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and at church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in First Baptist Church of Folsom Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Jane to be made to First Baptist Church of Folsom Building Fund.
