I wish I could explain everything that this woman has done for me and my family. She was more than a neighbor to us. She was a second mother to me after I lost my mom. She was Granny Janny to my kids, who haven't had an active grandmother near us. She came to their ball practices, ball games, school events and helped celebrate every birthday. She loved us as her own. She was always up for a road trip and random days of shopping and exploring. She helped turn me back toward Christ, and I have no doubt in my mind that she is now with our Lord. I am so blessed to have spent the time that I have with her. I love you forever.
Jan you were the best next door neighbor that I've ever had. We shared a lot of great memories together. You will always have a special place in my heart. We'd joke that during the day you were a housewife hanging out with me watching lifetime movies, and at night you were the man of the house hanging with my husband and bbqing. Y'all talked so long that I'd find y'all asleep in the chairs. You always opened your home to anyone in need. Tried my first frog legs with you.
I am so glad that I was able to visit with Jan recently after not seeing her much over the last few years. She came to her class reunion in October and I invited her to stay with me so she would not have to drive home late at night. We had the best time reminiscing about old times and it seemed as though not a day had passed since I had seen her last. She was a wonderful person that had a great heart. I'm going to miss her.
