Jamie Johanna Baskett's Obituary
Jamie Johanna Baskett passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014. The beloved daughter of Mary Buckley Buhler and the late James Houston Baskett, she was born on Wednesday, November 25, 1992, in New Orleans and was a resident of Luling. In addition to her mother, Jamie is survived by her grandparents, Mary B. and George L. Buhler and her great-aunt Thomas Vernell West as well as loving aunts and uncles: Bruce (Gayle) Buhler, Beth, Bryan (Sharon), George, Jr. (Carmen), William Buhler, Blair (Laura), Barry (Rachel), and Buckley (Pamela) Buhler. She is also survived by her many cousins: Lisa and Jessica LeBlanc, Wesley, Clayton, Jared, Joel, Matthew, Maxwell, Marshall, Mason, Nicholas, Christopher, Michael, Melinda, Christina, Amanda, Joseph, and James Buhler and numerous other relatives and dear friends. Jamie is also preceded in death by her grandmother Daisy Clone Baskett and cousin Benjamin Buhler.
A vivacious presence, Jamie attended St. Edward the Confessor School in Metairie and Hahnville High School in Boutte. Early in life, Jamie developed great affection for friends of the four-legged variety. She is now reunited with her beloved Duchess and Beethoven.
Private memorial services were held on January 21, 2014, at the E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. of Covington, LA 70433.
