I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Dr. Young's passing. He had been my optomerist for so many years that I lost count. I actually hunted him down and located him in Laplace after seeing him once at some other location. Since then, he was our family optomerist. He always had a joke to tell or a corny line to feed you. He was always so pleasant and cheerful. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. My condolences to his family and please know that I will forever remember Dr. Young as a wonderful and pleasant person to have known.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Young and his family. We were so sorry to hear of Dr. Young's passing. He had been our eye doctor for 15 years. He was an extremely kind and patient man who we trusted completely with all of our eye care needs. He will be missed so much by all of us. He is the only Dr. that my 3 children would want to see at St. Optical. God has taken him into the palm of his hand. We will miss you Dr. Young! Thanks for so many years of caring for us. Thinking about you today, as I have been everyday since hearing of your passing. So many memories have resurfaced--the times when we would laugh until we cried at the SNL skits; your favorite movie, Young Frankenstein-you knew every line; your text messages during Katrina meant the world to me and my family. I am so sad that I will never run into you again and enjoy laughter. The world is much more empty without you. I will miss you. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I am so sorry to learn about the passing of Dr. Young. I went in to the Laplace office today and learned of it. Dr. Young was very pleasant. He took his time with each patient. After a long day of seeing other patients, he would make you feel like you were the first patient that he was seeing that day. Amazing. My 12 year old liked him as well. I will keep the family in my prayers.

It has been so many years since I met Jim although it seems like yesterday. I was only 17 years old and Jim was 15 or 16. Through our years together we had many good times and many hours of heart felt conversations filled with laughter and struggles as we went through our lives together and apart. Jim will always be a part of my life, and my remaining years on this earth will not be as full knowing I will not see his smiling face or hear his laughter again as long as I am here . My thoughts and prayers go out to Jim's family and to all of his family of friends that will miss him as much as I will.
