James C. Wahl Jr.'s Obituary
James C. Wahl, Jr., known to his friends and family as “Buzzy” passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 8, 2015. He was born on June 2, 1939, to the late James C. Wahl, Sr. and late Adlis Wahl Hogan. He was raised and lived most of his life in Marrero but had been residing on the north shore for over 20 years.
He graduated from West Jefferson High School in 1957 and proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. He started from the bottom ranks and worked his way up to become a Store Manager at TG&T Stores Co. until his retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors, watching football, woodworking and spending time with his family. He was also a huge fan of Willie Nelson.
He was a joy and inspiration to all who met him. He was a beautiful soul and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Our world may have become a little darker and colder at his passing, but his life’s gifts and his warm and loving spirit will continue to enlighten, strengthen and support us all forever.
He is survived by his three children, daughter Donna and her husband Michael Teal of Katy, TX, son Jay Wahl of Hammond, LA and daughter Doreen and her husband Rick Ramos of Katy, TX. He was the proud grandpa to his beloved Nicole, Shannon, Frank, Courtney, Jessica and great grandchildren Kadence, Talon, Chloey and Briana. He is also survived by his sister, Leah Wahl and brother, Ronald Wahl as well as a numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours on Thursday will begin at 4:00 PM.
