To Laura and Family, I just learned today of Jimmie's passing. When Jennifer and I moved here forty-five years ago, one of our first and most lasting friendships was with the Holden family. Behind Jimmie's all-business exterior was a most generous and caring spirit that I witnessed first-hand after Katriina. I always looked forward to an expiring brake tag, knowing it meant an uplifting visit with my dear friend, hands clasped, seated in his office.How I will miss those meetings and our bond. My condolences to Laura and all the family . He was a truly Icon of CHS sports and will be missed by all. I considered him a friend and fellow Lion. My best memories of Jimmie was in the Jr./Sr. game when he was a Senior, he scored a touchdown and ran over me. He was larger than life!

Mr Holden was a great man. He was a neighbor of mine. He had a dog named Casper. Casper would get out the fence and come to my house. Called Mr Jimmy and walk Casper back home. Found out how he got out and fixed it the best I could until he or his son showed up. We had many a laugh over Casper.
Another funny issue my children leaned to drive cars. I had Mr Jimmy on speed dial.
He will be missed.

Thanks to Jimmie and Laura employing me for nearly 23 years doing their lawnservice at their home and wrecker yard. Talked to him a lot about Covington football. Was sorry to hear the other day about his failing health. Thanks to him and Laura for the years and pray that heaven is his final resting place. Love Bob and Pat McBride ❤️
