James "Ed" Parker's Obituary
James Edward Parker, loving husband, father and grandfather, age 67 of Mandeville, LA died on Friday, April 18, 2014, at his home. Born, Thursday, November 14, 1946 in Alexandria, VA to the late James Albert Parker and Eula Parker. Survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Dorothy "Dottie" Parker, son Tyler Matthew Parker (Jenni), daughter Jessica Parker Scholl (Jeff), grandchildren Jonathan, Jamie, Juliana, Jaime and Cooper and brother Fred Archie Parker (Mary). He was predeceased by his Father and Mother, Brothers Van James Parker, and Ted Howard Parker. He graduated from East Jefferson High School, attended the University of New Orleans and was a retired Sales Representative for Republic Beverages. He was co-founder and former Captain of the Original Krewe of Orpheus in Mandeville and a float Lieutenant of Krewe of Thoth. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Lydia Methodist Church, 5201 Freyou Rd. Lydia, LA 70569. Visitation on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave. Covington, LA 70433 and on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Lydia Methodist Church from 11:00 AM to service time. Interment in Beau Pre Cemetery Jeanerette, LA. In Lieu of flowers donation may be made to Americare Hospice, 303 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433 (Americarehospice.org).
