James B. "J.B." Jourdan's Obituary
James B. “J.B.” Jourdan, age 90, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024. He was born in Folsom, Louisiana on November 20, 1934.
J.B. is survived by his sister, Shirley Jourdan Gottschalk Watkins and children, Scotty Jourdan and Sheyenne Jourdan and also numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Jamie Jourdan, his parents, William Ellis Jourdan, Sr. and Mamie Willie Jourdan, his siblings, William Ellis Jourdan, Jr., Charles Strickland Jourdan, Arleen Jourdan Coltora, Estelle Jourdan Hrivnak, Lawrence “Cotton” Jourdan, and Donis Jourdan Jenkins.
J. B. was a native of and proud resident of Folsom, LA for many years. He graduated from Covington High School, where he was elected a member of the All-Decade football team and remained an avid supporter after graduation. For six years, he served his country as a member of the Louisiana National Guard. J.B. also was a proud member of the St Tammany Parish Livestock Association and the St Tammany Parish Fair Association. He particularly liked this time of year because he was able to share his abundant crop of satsumas with friends and relatives. We enjoyed them too.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 12:00 pm at E J Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA and the visitation will begin at 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow in Allison Cemetery in Folsom, LA.
