James "Jimmy" Alton Dawsey's Obituary
James “Jimmy” Alton Dawsey passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2015.
He was born on Saturday, April 22, 1961 to Yvonne Loyd Dawsey and A. Harry Dawsey. A life resident of Blonde Louisiana, he worked as a St. Tammany Parish School Board Bus Driver for over 15 years. He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.
The beloved husband of Sheila Tinney Dawsey. He is survived by two sons, David K. Dawsey (Jill Magee) and Ben; his daughter, Stephanie Marie Jarrell (Ashton); one brother, Dewain Dawsey; one sister, Deborah Dawsey and two grandchildren, Hailey Ashton Jarrell and Liam David Dawsey. His mother preceded him in death.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at New Zion Baptist Church, 17387 New Zion Church Rd, Covington, LA 70435 on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 12:00 noon with visitation at church on Friday beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Fauntleroy Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Jimmy to be made to New Zion Baptist Church Building Fund and/or lunch ministry, 17387 New Zion Church Rd, Covington, LA 70435; (985) 892-4711.
