James Arthur Fitzgerald's Obituary
James Arthur Fitzgerald passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2007.
Beloved father of Mary Fitzgerald Burke, James Hugh Fitzgerald and A. Douglas Fitzgerald; he was grandfather to 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Mae Keen Fitzgerald,; a son, Dr. Joel L. Fitzgerald; his mother, Cora Bruhl Fitzgerald; his father, Frank Fitzgerald; three brothers, Iddo, Allen and Nelson Fitzgerald; and two sisters, Grace F. Sharp and Louisa F. Keating.
Age 92 years, he was a native and lifetime resident of the Lee Road Community. He is remembered as owner of Quality Meat Market on New Hampshire Street and as a food service buyer for St. Tammany Parish Hospital.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Monday, November 12, 2007 at 11:00 AM from Shepherd’s Care Ministries, 20115 Hwy 1081 (Stafford Road), Covington, LA 70435.
Visitation on Monday AT THE CHURCH will begin at 9:00 AM and continue until service time.
Interment will follow services in Shepherd’s Fold Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Shepherd’s Care Ministry, 20115 Hwy 1081 (Stafford Road), Covington, LA 70435.
