James Lee Crews' Obituary
James Lee Crews, at the age of 84, entered eternal rest peacefully on Wednesday Morning, November 9, 2022, at Avanti Senior Living Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Ocala, FL, on February 27, 1938, to Fred Elmer Crews and Ella Cameron Crews.
He is survived by his adoring children Stacey Crews of Madisonville, Gregory Crews of Tennessee and his son-in-law, Lee Kreil. He is also survived by his niece, Angela Segovia and nephew, Kenneth Talley and his wife, Becki. James will be dearly missed by a host of cousins and wonderful lifelong friends.
James was preceded in death by his loving parents Fred and Ella Crews.
James was a native of Ocala, longtime resident of Bossier City and newest resident of Covington. He graduated from Auburndale High School, proudly joined the United States Army and transferred to United States Air Force, where he retired as a Tech Sergeant after serving 24 years.
James loved his children more than anything in the world. He was very proud of them and who they had become as adults. He always said they were the best thing he ever did. He loved his morning coffee, watching football and discussing politics. He will be remembered as a very kind, sweet man. James will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His spirit and tender nature will remain in the many memoires of his cherished friends and family until they meet him again.
