James Ralph Crane, Sr.'s Obituary
James Ralph Crane, Sr., age 77, of Bush, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born September 10, 1946, in Drew, Mississippi, the son of Rev. Emmitt Ray Crane and Ruth Viola Bradford Crane. Ralph graduated from West Marion High School in the Class of 1966. In 1967, he married Vivian Diane Crane and later settled in Bush, Louisiana, where they lived for 47 years. Ralph retired at the age of 73 from Parish Concrete after 43 years of employment.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents. Emmitt and Ruth Crane along with his siblings, Emmitt Ray Crane, Jr., Joe Allen Crane, Josie Ruth Ryals, Hazel Rebecca Terrell, Lillie Belle Coyne, Paul Glenn Crane, and Ronnie Wayne Crane.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Vivian Diane Crane, his four children, Emmitt Don “Donnie” Crane (Brandi), Dana Michelle Whitaker (Robert), James Ralph “Pete” Crane, Jr., and Anna Marie Crane. Ralph was also the proud Pawpaw to 9 loving grandchildren, Brandon, Heather, Justin, Courtney, Trace, Kyle, Allison, Matthew, and Audie, and 9 beautiful great grandchildren.
Ralph was a sweet compassionate person, honest with strong moral principles, and a loyal servant of God. Throughout his life, he served his community and church as a singer, teacher, and bible study leader.
A tribute from the kids: Dad, you are in our hearts, we will always love and miss you. If you could only see yourself through our eyes, you would realize how special you are to us. We salute you, honor you, and thank you for your constant support and perfect example of a Godly Man and Father. You are truly an everlasting friend.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Sharp’s Chapel Church of God, 22191 Sharp Chapel Road, Bush, Louisiana, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Church of God Cemetery, 573 Mount Carmel Church Road, Foxworth, Mississippi.
