Words could never truly do justice to my charismatic cousin (cuz), my amazing little brother and my dear mate James, who has been taken from us far too soon.
Whenever I think of James, beyond the overwhelming sadness and heartbreak of losing him, my thoughts are always followed by a smile, laughter and a deep sense of gratitude. I feel incredibly privileged to have shared so many wonderful moments with him. He was a cherished part of my life and will remain in my heart for the rest of my days.
To Mandy, Jaxon, Maci and James (L.J.), my heart breaks for each of you. The sudden and tragic loss of your soulmate, husband and beloved dad is something no family should ever have to endure, especially at such a young stage in your lives. James was undoubtedly the dependable, loving, funny and supportive person who helped hold your family together. But I also know that he would want you to stay strong, lean on one another and continue to find happiness and joy together, no matter how difficult that may feel right now.
There are far too many memories to include in a single tribute, but I will always treasure the time James, Jonathan and I spent together over the years—whether in the UK, in Covington, during James’s visit to Cardiff where we enjoyed nights out over a few beers, our trips to the beautiful Brecon Beacons in Wales, or standing proudly together as ushers at Michelle’s wedding. Time spent with James was never forgotten. His generosity, infectious laugh, brilliant dry sense of humour and unwavering love and devotion to his family always shone through.
Mandy, Jaxon, Maci and James (L.J.), you are family to Cheryl and I. James can rest peacefully knowing that we will always be here for you—to offer support, comfort and love whenever you need it. You will never face this journey alone.
James, my mate, you have been taken from us far too soon, in a way that none of us could ever have predicted or prevented. Yet what you leave behind is extraordinary: your beautiful children, who will carry your legacy forward and make you proud every day.

No matter who you were—a lifelong friend or someone he had just met—JJ always went above and beyond to help, often without ever being asked. That was simply who he was.
I will always be grateful for the guidance, friendship, and unwavering support JJ gave me during our time at Cintas and even afterward. When he moved to Encore, he continued looking out for me, doing everything he could to help me join their team so we could work together again. Even after his passing, the connections he made and the faith he had in me continued to open doors. Encore reached out, and I am now beginning the onboarding process—a testament to the kind of person JJ was and the lasting impact he had on the people around him.
His kindness, generosity, and genuine belief in others changed lives, including mine. I will forever be grateful that our paths crossed.
