James A. Binford's Obituary
James A. Binford passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011 at the age 81, with his neighbor and friend Marie Weaver at his bedside in Franklinton, LA.
Mr. Binford was predeceased by his wife Kim Nguyen, and remained widower until his death. His loving mother Gladys Penton also predeceased him. He made his home in rural Franklinton, LA for the past 15 years. Mr. Binford, as he was known, had a very big heart and loved little children. He was an expert at training Thoroughbreds. He showed horses in his young years and up until just recently continued to help his friend Floyd with shoeing. He was also a boat pilot at one time of his life, but his biggest love was for the tracks.
Friends of Mr. Binford are invited to attend a small Christian service celebrating his life, led by the Bogue Falaya Baptist Church Minister, Dr. Jake Roudkovski in the home of Marie Weaver, located at 40026 Turkey Road, Franklinton, LA at 11:00 AM on Saturday, the 9th day of July, 2011.
There will be no viewing as he has requested cremation.
