Jacqueline Lane Smith's Obituary
Jacqueline Ann Lane Smith on Saturday, March 17, 2007, Today She’s singing with the angels. Jackie went peacefully with the angles to be with her Lord and Savior at her parents home in Folsom, LA. She was a faithful child of God, loving mother, precious daughter, dear sister, and caring person to a multitude of friends and relatives. A 1978 graduate of Covington High School, she continued her education at Southeastern Louisiana University where as a music major she performed in the orchestra. She then enlisted in the United States Air Force serving in the accounting department at Kessler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS. Her love of music followed her throughout her life as she served as pianist, soloist and choir director for several churches. The love and pride of her life though that truly brought out the sparkle in her eyes were her children, Kayla Marie Smith and Christopher Michael Smith The Family would like to thank North Oaks Hospice for their total dedication, care and compassion. They provided Jackie with the help she needed and offered the family love and support and counseling. Mostly they allowed Jackie the opportunity to live her life with dignity surrounded by family and friends. Mrs. Smith is also survived by her parents Andrew and Patsy Lane, her sister, Gwen Lane and brother Brian Lane; her nieces and nephews, Krisa, Brian, Ashley, Allie and Savannah. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Maxine Lee and Marie Lane.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Lee Hill Baptist Church on Lee Settlement Rd., Folsom, LA Interment in Elias Lee Cemetery in Folsom. Visitation on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at the church from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM and again on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time. E. J. Fielding Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
