Jacqueline LeBlanc Lewis' Obituary
Jacqueline LeBlanc Lewis, 88 years old, born in New Orleans, on August 22, 1937, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on June 1, 2026, in Covington, Louisiana.
She and her husband, George (March 9, 1948 – April 23, 2007) enjoyed 35 years of marriage. She is predeceased by her parents, Eugene Joseph LeBlanc and Effie LaGrange Landry. She leaves behind her seven children and spouses, Michael (Deborah), Peggy (David), Timothy (Cathy), Mary (Eugene), Gayle (Patrick), Dwayne (Shelley) and Amanda (Glenn), 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Jackie loved her husband, George, with all her heart. Together, they shared a life filled with laughter and companionship. Whether cutting a rug on the dance floor or spending the day at the “casina”, Jackie and George treasured every moment they spent together.
Jackie’s life was centered on faith, family and creativity. Upon meeting her, one could immediately sense the profound depth of her faith. She loved our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and had a special devotion to Our Lady. She cherished every moment spent with her children and their families, whether it was at a sporting event, a meal gathering, holidays, or any kind of celebration. Jackie’s creativity ranged from ceramics, sewing, dancing and beading. She would often participate in weekend beading retreats with her friends.
Visitation will be held at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana, from 9:30 a.m. til 10:30 a.m., on Friday, June 5, 2026, the funeral mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
