Jack Dudley Sharp's Obituary
Jack Dudley Sharp passed away at the age of 89 on Sunday September 6, 2020 after a long battle with Parkinson Disease.
He leaves behind his devoted wife Gay-Nell Scardino Sharp, his daughter Shannon Ann Waskom (Calvin), and stepson Michael J. Scardino (Arlene). Predeceased are his son Calvin Cordell Sharp, and daughter Diane Adele Sharp and wife of fifty years Ruby Bertus Sharp. Son of the late Amelia Jenkins and Preston Sharp.
Grandfather of Callie Waskom, Colton Waskom (Delia), Travis Motichek (Allison) Brian Motichek (Erica) Jade Motichek Ryder (Jardon) Jared Sharp,and Crystal Sharp McGrath (Brian)....and eleven great grandchildren.
Brother of the late Allen Sharp, Jake Sharp, Vinnie Sharp, Obie Sharp, Berlin Sharp, and Leon Sharp.
Jack served our country in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War. He was a true patriot. He will be remembered for his beautiful vegetable gardens, and how generous he was to his neighbors, and strangers as well. He was truly a blessing to all those who knew him. It was an honor, and blessing to be his wife.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass held at Saint John The Baptist Catholic Church, 11345 Saint John Church Road, Folsom, La. on Monday, October 19, 2020.Visitation will be held at church from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30a.m. followed by the celebration of Mass.
Interment will follow at the Willie Cemetery, Willie Cemetery Rd.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in memory of Jack to Saint John The Baptist Catholic Church building fund.
