Jack Henry Broyl, Sr. passed away on Friday, March 27, 2009.
Beloved husband of Mae Grosch Broyl for 37 years. Father of Jack “Jay” H. Broyl, Jr. and wife Robin and Bonnie Broyl Prickett and husband Tommy. Brother of the late Rosemary Broyl Thompson and husband Paul. Step-brother of the late Bill Wells, Sr. and wife Mary and Ray Wells and wife Joyce. Son of the late George Henry and Cora Binet Broyl. Step-son of the late Marion Wells Broyl. Also survived by five granddaughters and five great-grandchildren and his beloved Heime 2.
Age 88 years. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Covington, LA for the past 37 years. He was Marketing Manager for Bell South for 38 years, graduated from LSU in 1943 with a degree in Arts and Science and a US Army Captain in WWII. He was a member of the LSU Alumni Association, K of C Council #3061 of Covington, lifetime member of the VFW #7286, American Legion #16, Association of R.O.B.’s of Tchefuncta and AT&T Pioneers.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass from E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 12 Noon. Visitation from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Hospice of St. Tammany, 1202 S. Tyler St., Covington, LA 70433.
