Isabel Scott Maginnis' Obituary
Isabel Lewis Scott Maginnis passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 5, 2011 surrounded by her children.
Beloved wife by first marriage to the late Albin Provosty Scott and by second marriage to the late John Hobson Maginnis.
Loving mother of Isabel Sherman, Martha Gruning and son-in-law David Gruning, Albin Provosty Scott II, Jean Scott, Natalie Scott, Meriwether Bennett and Elizabeth Scott. Daughter of the late Isabel Williamson Lewis and William Baskerville Lewis. Sister of the late William B. Lewis III and Benjamin Lewis. Grandmother of Isabel Sherman, Ellen Sherman, Natalie Seeboth, Jane Gruning, Thomas Bennett III, Alexandre Bennett and the late Brenner Sherman. Great-grandmother of Georgia Seeboth and Adele Seeboth.
Isabel was beloved by all for her kindness, humor, and gentle spirit.
Her family wishes to thank Emma Casnave, Merry Jenkins, Sandy Hall, and Dayle Willie for their loving care and compassion.
Relatives and friends are invited to the memorial services at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 S. New Hampshire, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 11:30 AM with a gathering following the service on the church grounds in Holzhalb Hall.
