Irma Mae Jenkins' Obituary
Irma Mae Jenkins passed away Monday, April 25, 2011. A life long resident of Covington, she was born December 9, 1934 to the late Charlie H. and Gertrude Rogers Jenkins.
The beloved wife of the late Rev. Frederick Jenkins, she is the mother of Melanie J. Cleland, the late F. Michael Jenkins and Pamela Ellen Sharp; sister of: Wilson, Hancel, Showalter, Aline Jenkins, Joy Neal and the late Tom, Wylie, Reuble, Raymond, Doyle, Adrian, Pearlie Jenkins and Vernie Hunt; step-sister of: Charlie, Floyd, John, Ray, Clyde Jenkins, Ella Mae Johnson, Olecia Friloux, Evelyn Petree, Avi “Crick” Riles and the late Joe, Shelby and J.B. Jenkins. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Friends and family may gather for visiting hours at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433 on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 1:30-3:30 PM.
Funeral services will be held at Sharp’s Chapel Church of God, 22191 Sharp’s Chapel Rd., Bush, LA 70431 at 4:00 PM.
Interment at Sharp’s Chapel Cemetery will immediately follow services.
