Irene Englehart Eng's Obituary
Irene Englehart Eng passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013 in Thousand Oaks, CA. She was born on Thursday, October 06, 1932 in Michigan, ND to Clarence William and Minnie Moe Mootz.
The beloved wife of Leonard Allen "Bud" Eng of Thousand Oaks, CA, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles H. Englehart. Six children survive her: Kathi E. Ruppe (Tony), Doug C. Englehart (Heather), Stephen B. Englehart (Marlene), Tim P. Englehart, Chris A. Englehart (Denise) and Patty E. Barber (Keith). She is also survived by two stepchildren, Dave Eng and Sandy Watkins (Steve); 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was the sister of Betty Pfeifer, Bud Mootz, Mavis Janzen, Doug Mootz, Judy Stewart, Joanie Janzen and Mike Mootz. Her parents, one son, one grandson, two sisters and one brother precede her in death.
She graduated from St. Mary Dominican College in 1974, with a Bachelor of Art in Education. She worked from 1966 to 1992 for the Archdiocese of New Orleans, doing what she loved most—teaching young minds.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 06, 2013 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours on Saturday will begin at 9:00 AM.
Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington, LA will immediately follow mass.
