Hugh John Kelly's Obituary
Hugh J. Kelly, past President and CEO of ODECO, and former Director of Hibernia, Tidewater, Inc., CLECO, and Gulf Island Fabrication, Inc. and past President of Mid-Continent Oil Association and the United Way Campaign in New Orleans, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the age of 83, following a brief illness.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jean Kelly; and children, Michael, Patti, Pamela, Kevin, and Shawn; and grandchildren, Colin, Amy, Joshua, Jessica, Hannah, Rose, Sophia, and Chloe; and great-grandchild Faith; and one brother, Charles Kelly. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at Christian Life Center (just past the cathedral on the left), located at 75376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA, 70457, situated on the grounds of St. Joseph Abbey. Visitation from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. with funeral services to follow. Interment to be held at the St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery with a reception after interment. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Kelly be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
