Howard, I know you were a good man and fine person, because you meant so much to your niece, Denise.
It’s not the things you own, it’s the hearts you touch, that determine your success in life.

Howard, I know you were a good man and fine person, because you meant so much to your niece, Denise.
It’s not the things you own, it’s the hearts you touch, that determine your success in life.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. May the words in Isaiah 41:10,13 give you hope and comfort.
We were Howard'sneighbors from 1973 until he left for the Woodlands, TX.
We shared the experience of Hurricane Katrina together as he would come over for coffee in the morning (we had a grill that we could heat water for instant coffee) and for an easy supper at night until we evacuated that Thursday after the storm.
When we returned home, Howard had evacuated and didn't return home for awhile. But when he did return, he and Jim would talk while watching the clearing work going on right on our street.
He was a good neighbor, always friendly to us when we would meet while walking the neighborhood.
And we missed him as he left Slidell abruptly, but did get to talk with home on the phone.
May he rest in peace and may you all be blessed with a measure of that peace he is enjoying now.
