Dearest Laura, sons and family members,
Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of you. Howard was a dear friend, so vibrant and full of life! We loved the New Year's Eve tradition of enjoying family, friends, and the Rowdies! Covington will never be the same! We loved his stories, his singing, and the quiet times we just visited. I hope you will understand that only our circumstances could keep us from standing with you. Our lives have been enriched with your company! Don will drink a toast with a very good port to Howard and we will wish you all the comfort knowing his pain has past.
With our love,
Martha and Don Marcus
Sorry for y'all's loss! Mr. Howard was full of life, fun to be around, and will be missed. Mardi Gras and New Years will not be the same.

Deepest sympathies to you all!!!! I am so sorry. I adored Mr. Howard. I never got to keep my promise to him, to do the Tour de` Force with him, from the closet selection. :(

I'll always remember Howard as my favorite dancing partner at the Mothe's
X-mas galas. Laura would just sit there and let Howard and I trip the light fantastic on the dance floor. Then one Christmas party I asked him if he knew the young man who asked my daughter to marry him and a whole new relationship involved. I learned more about what wonderful parents he and Laura were and what a wonderful part they played in their children's lives. He will be sadly and greatly missed by all who ever had the opportunity to meet the fabulous Mr. Howard Fussell. To his family I express my sincere condolences. You all were truly blessed and he will always live in admiration in our hearts.

Howard had one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. He was always very meticulous at making sure he was perfectly on pitch. He added so much to our choir and we will miss him dearly.
He was also a genuinely funny man who was very proud of his grandchildren. Laura, please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Ann Taylor, Covington, LA
Sending my Love and Prayers to all...Not sure if I'll be able to make any of the services, but please know that you are in my prayers. I know Howard will be greatly missed by all who knew him. With Loving Thoughts, Pat Bartholomew
