Herschel "Buddy" William McDaniel, Jr.'s Obituary
Hershel “Buddy” William McDaniel, 67, on September 19, 2009 passed away unexpectedly at his home in Mandeville, LA. Preceded in death by this wife of 49 years, Shirley Ann Cameron McDaniel. His jovial spirit, constant smile and always helping hands will be greatly missed by his wife, Elizabeth Cameron Dominguez, daughters Anna McDaniel and Evelyn McDaniel Cornett, grand children Sean LeBlanc, Amy Myers, Patricia Myers, Robert Bancroft, Patience Cornett. and one great grand child. He is also survived by his brother Roger and sisters Sharon, Pat and Diane, step-children Cathy, David, Danny, Jeff and Kerry Dominguez, Brenda Pourciau, Donna Casabonne, Kia Knight and thirteen step-grandchildren and two step-great grand children and many nieces and nephews.
Proudly serving in the U.S. Navy, his civilian life was spent in the oil industry and several entrepreneurial ventures including skyscraper window cleaning.
Visitation at E. J. Fielding Funeral home in Covington, LA will be on Thursday, September 24, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by service in the chapel officiated by Reverend Gregory Boquet, O.S.B. Burial will be private and a memorial service will be held in Nekossa, WI, the home of his daughters, at a date to be announced.
