Herman A. "Bim" Sharp's Obituary
Herman A. “Bim” Sharp, Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the age of 70. He was born on February 22, 1954 and was a resident of Folsom, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman A. Sharp Sr. and Doris Gottschalk Sharp and his brother, Wendell “Wendy” Sharp.
Beloved husband of Vicky Albin Sharp for 45 years. Loving father of Avery Sharp (Kayla) and Byron Sharp (Renee). Grandfather of Lawson, Addisyn, Ava and Brody. Also survived by brother, Scotty Sharp; sister, Melanie Sharp; sister-in-law, Kim Sharp, and numerous nieces, nephews, and many other relatives.
Bim was an active member of Bogue Falaya Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He was a true Louisiana sportsman. He loved spending his time hunting and fishing, cooking, and tending to his garden.
He worked for over 33 years with the GNOEC and retired as supervisor for the MAP Program. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to others in need.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Sharp may be made to Bogue Falaya Baptist Church, 78689 Hwy 25, Folsom, LA 70437.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Mary Bird Perkins and the Oncology nurses at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Bogue Falaya Baptist Church, 78689 Highway 25, Folsom, LA on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until service time. A burial will follow in Birtrue Jenkins Family Cemetery, 81490 Birtrue Road, Bush, LA.
