Herbert Emile "Bootsy" Magee's Obituary
Herbert Emile “Bootsy” Magee passed peacefully in his sleep at the age of 79 in the early morning hours of Monday, April 4, 2022. He was born on March 4, 1943, he was a lifelong resident of Folsom, LA, he was the son of the late Dallas and Ruby Loyd Magee of Folsom, LA.
Bootsy was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Magee (Doris) and sister, Leatte Magee Mizell (Clarence).
Bootsy is survived by a host of nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.
Bootsy will best be remembered for his great love of horses, his favorite being his Champion Show Mare, “Poco.” Bootsy was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. If he wasn’t helping his father with caring for the horses, you could find him reading his many horse books. Bootsy also has a fierce love for all sports on TV, his favorite being the LSU Tigers and the Saints.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Bootsy’s life at First Baptist Church Folsom, 13320 Broadway Street, Folsom, LA 70437 on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 12:00 PM with visitation from 10:00 AM until service time.
