Henry Joseph Strain's Obituary
Henry Joseph Strain of Madisonville, LA passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020. He was born on August 5, 1929 in New Orleans, LA to Henry and Lola (Legendre) Strain.
Henry is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Hazel Marie (Lambert) Strain; his children Deborah Steinhauer (the late Emmett), Karen Rex (Mike), Lori Graham (Steve), Gina Ostendorf (Bryan), Cheryl Salomone (Greg); 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Gerry Cambre and Gail Sargent, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Henry is preceded in death by his son Henry Joseph Strain, III, his sister Alba Savana and his parents.
Henry was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council #2922 in Mandeville. He was also a member of Council #15133 in Madisonville at St. Anselm Catholic Church.
A private graveside service was held by the family. A memorial mass will be announced at a later date. Interment took place in Bedico Community Cemetery, Bedico, LA.
