Henry Kolbe Coffman's Obituary
Henry Kolbe “Rex” Coffman passed away peacefully surrounded by family Monday, July 16, 2007.
Survived by his beloved wife of 47 years of Florence Barbara “Bobbie” Brooks Coffman, daughter Christine Kolbe Coffman Slote, son-in-law Stephen Richard Slote, daughter Roberta Ann Coffman, son Kurt Steven Coffman, his partner Sergio Rodriguez, and granddaughter Kolbe Rae Slote. His mother, Lenora Kolbe Coffman, his father, Gilbert K. Coffman, Sr. and a brother, Gilbert Coffman, Jr, preceded him in death.
Age 82 years old, a native of Woodstock, VA he was a resident of Mandeville, LA. Mr. Coffman was a United States Army Veteran having served during World War II. A jewelry salesman for the last 50 years, he was employed for the past 9 years with Boudreaux’s Jeweler’s of Mandeville, LA. Mr. Coffman was a member of the senior organization H2U and logged over 2,000 volunteer hours at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. He was an active member of St. Timothy United Methodist church. Mr. Coffman is loved and remembered by many for his kindness, gentleness and wonderful outlook on life.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to a Celebration of his Life memorial service at St. Timothy’s United Methodist Church, 335 Asbury Drive, Mandeville, LA 70448 on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 11:00 AM.
Visitation will be on Saturday beginning at 10:00 AM until service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name to Hospice of St. Tammany, 1202 South Tyler St., Covington, LA 70433 or St. Timothy United Methodist Church.
