Henrietta Keller Hurston's Obituary
Henrietta Keller Hurston, a life resident of Covington, LA, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Forest Manor Nursing Home. She was born on Wednesday, February 8, 1933, one of seven children to Victoria Lenora Moran and Selvy Hubert Keller. She and her husband owned and operated Hurston's Restaurant and Pine Manor Motel in Covington for many years.
The beloved wife of the late Charles Andrew Hurston, she is survived by one son - Charles R. Hurston (Teresa); two daughters - Charlene Hurston and Vicki Hurston (John Allen), four grandchildren - Brooke Thompson, Kathryn Fournet (Jordan), Cassie Keating (Gregory) and Justin Hurston; five great grandchildren - Maddix, Faith, Maverick, Jordan, Jr. and Patrick; as well as countless nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers - Hubert S. and Preston G. Keller; and four sisters - Nadine M. Lalanne, Hilda P. Russell, Bertha L. McLaughlin and Yvonne K. Allison.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours on Saturday will begin at 10:00 AM.
Interment at Peace Grove Cemetery in St. Tammany, LA will immediately follow services.
