Hella Franklin was one of my favorite people…ever! I was a financial advisor with, literally, hundreds of clients. Hella was a delightful, unique person. Her candid nature was was somewhat disarming to some. Personally, I loved it. She was funny, insightful, and unselfish. She used to hand deliver her homemade pickles to office, every year. I cherished our conversations and our friendship.

I’m so sorry to hear about Hella. She was a special lady, and I know she will be missed by all the family. My prayers are with all of you. I have such fond memories of her coming to visit with my mother and listen to them exchange stories from Germany . Our choir sang at Christwwod a couple of weeks ago, and I was able to visit with her. She was very alert and sweet as ever.
I will miss Hella dearly! I always looked forward to ask her in her native tongue..."Wie gehts?" and she would always reply "Mir geht es gut."
