Helen Porter's Obituary
Helen Wallace Porter passed away on Monday, August 20, 2007.
A graduate of University of Southwestern LA, Navy veteran of WWII, former school teacher in St. Tammany Parish and a retired Deputy with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Dept.
Beloved mother of Pamela Brasseaux and spouse Dwain, Julian Porter and spouse Mary Lynn, Mary Porter and Sharon Hutchison. Sister of Daniel Wallace and the late Julian Wallace, Laura Taylor and Hilda Gonzales.  Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Aged 89 years, a native of Waldheim, LA, a former resident of Baton Rouge and a resident of Waldheim for the past 20 years.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 11:00 AM from E. J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433.  Visitation on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time. Interment in the Garden District Cemetery.
