Helen Ruth Sinclair Geiger's Obituary
Services will be held Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 11:00AM at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 for Helen Ruth Sinclair Geiger. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitations on Wednesday, August 8th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday August 9th at 9:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow the service in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, 2280 W 21st Ave, Covington, LA adjacent to the funeral home.
Helen Geiger of Mandeville, LA passed away from a brain aneurysm on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans. She was 71 years old.
Helen is survived by her beloved husband, Billy Geiger; her sons Gary Geiger of Hammond, LA and Brent Geiger (Ginger) of Mandeville, LA; her grandchildren Corey Geiger (Gabrielle), Lindsey Geiger Waguespack (Aubert), Alicia Geiger, Monica Geiger, Maxwell Geiger; and her great grandchildren Aubrey, Bliss, and Cruz Waguespack and Gavin Geiger. She is also survived by one brother Robert Sinclair (Virginia) of Central, LA.
Helen was born in Columbia, MS to the late Earl and Alice Sinclair in 1946, but relocated to Baton Rouge, LA in 1956. She married Billy Geiger on October 28, 1965 and would have been married 53 years this fall. Helen often said Billy was the love of her life and her best friend. She also loved cooking for family, gardening, and was an avid reader.
