Beloved husband for 51 years of Mary “Beth” Johnson Colón. Father of Wanda Rankin and spouse Dr. Kevin, Eduardo “Eddie” Colón, Elizabeth “Liz” Brett and spouse Tom, Mary Ellen Colón and spouse Jordi Sales, Grace Colón and spouse Peter Noymer. Grandfather of Bill, Taylor, Meg, Mimi, Nicolas, Ben, Kate and Jack. Survived by three sisters: Brun, Monsin, Vangie and one brother: Athos. Also survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
A graduate of the University of LA at Lafayette, Executive and General Manager of Tres Monjitas Dairy in Puerto Rico, he served on numerous boards in the dairy industry. Before moving to Puerto Rico, he was with Barbe’s Dairy in Westwego, LA.
Aged 75 years, a native of Puerto Rico and a resident of Covington, LA for 10 years.
He was charming, funny, intelligent, entrepreneurial, strict when he had to be, generous, cordial, musical, faithful, good father, husband, uncle, brother.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial mass on Friday, June 22, 2007 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Road, Covington, LA 70435. Visitation on Friday from 1:00 PM until service time. Interment in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery.
